For individuals 70½ years or older, a Qualified Charitable Distribution may enable you to support our work AND receive tax benefits in return. Please consider using your IRA account to make the most of your charitable giving this year! It’s important to consider your tax situation before making a charitable contribution from your IRA. Online Giving

Stocks & Securities
Gifts of stock or other appreciated property offer two-fold tax savings. Donors pay no capital gains on the increased value of the appreciated property and receive an income tax deduction for the full market value at the time of the gift.
Real Estate
Gifts of real estate property, either in entirety or in part, can be deeded to Community Action Marin during your lifetime or as part of your legacy planned giving. Gifting can occur even while you continue to occupy the property.

Having grown up in Marin, I’ve seen up close the challenges that families—working families, essential low wage earners—face here every day. Sometimes, it’s the need for affordable childcare and help paying household bills. Sometimes, it’s just putting food on the table. My becoming a Champion for Marin means I get to help people get a better chance to succeed.
