A wonderful way to learn about what we do is to attend one of our events. We offer events for clients as part of our programs, orientations for those who want to access our services, and special events including fundraisers, tours of our garden, volunteer events, and more.

Board Meeting
Join our next Community Action Marin Board Meeting on Thursday, March 23. Our Board contributes to making Community Action Marin the largest anti-poverty agency and social services provider in the county, and enables us to bring our services to thousands of Marin families each year. Our Board of Directors is made up of members of the public from the private sector, public sector, and representatives of low income residents. The Board meets on the 4th Thursday of each month from 5:30pm to 8:00pm.

VITA Income Tax Services
Maximizing a tax refund can put vital money back in peoples’ pockets. We offer free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) tax preparation services where caring, trained volunteers guide Marin residents through matters such as reporting on public benefits and claiming the Child Tax Credit and the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), so they can claim tax benefits for which they’re eligible and understand their choices for the next year. Tax assistance is part of the integrated services that help to put long term financial security within reach. Click here to learn more about eligibility and what to bring when you have your taxes prepared.
