FOOD & CLIMATE JUSTICE
Cultivating Curiosity Through Fall Gardening
This fall brought a bountiful harvest to the Production Farm at our Old Gallinas Children’s Center in San Rafael. Families and teachers enjoyed freshly picked kale, carrots, tomatoes, and herbs, all grown with care by our young learners and staff.
We are sparking curiosity through hands-on garden learning across our children’s centers. At the Hamilton Children’s Center in Novato, students recently took part in a bean-shelling lesson that quickly became a class favorite. The children are discovering the foundations of sustainable gardening while experiencing the joy and excitement that comes from growing food themselves.

GROWING STRONG
Thank You to Novato Whole Foods!
Community Action Marin recently received a generous donation of more than 20 boxes of brand-new goods from the Whole Foods Market in Novato, and the story behind it speaks to the heart of community.
The store manager shared that she passes our new headquarters every day on her way to work. Nearly twenty years ago, she connected several of her team members with Community Action Marin for support. She still remembers the welcome they received and the warm wraparound approach that helped them through a tough moment.
We’re deeply grateful for this gift and for Whole Foods Market’s continued commitment to our community. Their support strengthens our shared work to eliminate poverty and hunger here in Marin.
