Rental Assistance (no new applications accepted)
Community Action Marin proudly serves as the coordinating agency for the Chronicle Season of Sharing Fund in Marin County. When funding has not been fully utilized for the year, the Chronicle Season of Sharing Fund can provide short-term, one time financial assistance with rent or mortgage and security deposits for those experiencing housing instability and have exhausted other resources and support from family, friends, and other organizations. The maximum amount of assistance provided is $5,000. Payments are made in the form of a grant directly to the supplier of services, such as the landlord.
Season of Sharing Fund Update (10/8/24)
Please be aware that there is currently a waiting list for the Season of Sharing program and we are no longer accepting applications for 2024.
Please check back in early 2025 for more information on eligibility, required documents, and how to apply.
For individuals and families who are facing an unforeseen emergency and cannot access food resources, they may be able to receive an Emergency Food Box in partnership with the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. This box includes a supply of non-perishable food as well as information about the Food Bank. Please email our Community Supports team to learn more.
