A Message from Our CEO
Dear Community,
The time is now to join Marin County’s anti-poverty movement. Rooted in dignity, belonging, and a commitment to lasting change that helps people to attain well-being and stay in Marin, this is the work we do—together with people like you—at Community Action Marin.
For 60 years, our dedication to addressing both the causes and consequences of poverty has been grounded in a simple truth: we help people and change lives. When we support one another’s self-determination, when we fight for policies and systems that do not produce poverty as an outcome, when we meet people’s basic needs, and when we listen to real stories of struggle, determination and hope, we inspire and sustain the whole of our community.
In a county known for its wealth, too many individuals and families are navigating rising costs and limited access to opportunity. But we are meeting this moment head on by expanding access to high-quality early education, strengthening housing stability, increasing financial well-being, advocating for Head Start, and ensuring that people across generations have what they need to stay rooted in their homes and community.
Community Action Marin is achieving impact. Our 225+ staff, alongside partners, volunteers, and supporters, continue to grow what is possible for children, families, older adults, and anyone who needs a hand up.
