With a joyful laugh and boundless energy, Leah is a natural leader on the playground, guiding her friends from one activity to the next. Her three-year-old eyes sparkle as she makes her friends and teachers smile.

Leah, her two siblings, and her parents came to Marin County from Central America with hope for a brighter future. Like many families we work alongside at CAM, they’ve faced challenges adapting to life here—challenges no one should face alone.

Building a Foundation for Success

Today, Leah is one of more than 500 children in Community Action Marin’s high-quality early childhood education programs with wraparound services like health checks, energy assistance, and other basic supports. The vital connections to resources available to Leah and her family are helping to build a strong foundation for a successful future.
