Step Up Marin! 2024 Highlights

Championing Racial & Economic Equity (2024 Event)

Friday, May 17 was truly an evening of connection and impact when local Marin residents, advocates, elected officials, staff, and volunteers gathered in Novato for Step Up Marin! The event highlighted Community Action Marin’s shared vision of equity for all, celebrated the achievements of those we serve, and provided a welcoming space for members of the community to help advance our mission of well-being for all who call Marin home.

Thank you to keynote speaker Johnathan Logan, who spoke of courage and hope for all in our county. Congratulations to Bless Krieger, our 2024 Community Courage Award recipient who, with guidance from a caring Financial Coach and his own hard work and determination, was able to move from homeless to housed, overcome financial challenges, save money, and move towards a brighter future and second chance at life.  We also have great appreciation for all those that attended the event and graciously raised their paddles to fund many of the agency’s needs and allow us to better support children, individuals, and families in our Marin community. Look for more photos and video highlights of the evening coming soon.

Community Action Marin has been assisting people across Marin County for over 50 years. By working together in community, we are helping people to achieve well-being by providing the vital services they need so that all of us in Marin have an equal opportunity to live our lives with dignity and respect. We break down barriers to lasting change and invite you to be part of the action for justice.
