Participants will learn about the many different programs and services we offer and how we can be your partner on the path to thriving. We're in your corner! You can choose to join us for the 9/2 orientation taking place from 5:30pm-6:30pm or the 9/14 orientation from 12pm-1pm. There will also be an orientation in Spanish on 9/23 from 12pm-1pm. Census Help and Service Offering Days

Join Community Action Marin in the parking lot at Northgate Mall in San Rafael on 9/23 and 9/30 to get help with: Census Completion for your Household, Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program Eligibility Assessment, CAL Fresh Enrollment, and Voter Registration. We’re also seeking Spanish-speaking volunteers to help translate between English-speaking service providers and Spanish-speaking clients. Linda Reed Activity Program

Linda Reed Activity Program

A structured day program that encourages members to socialize. Activities include a support group, art, gardening, nature walk, and games. Once a month the group goes on a fun field trip to a local place of interest.

Meets weekly on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10am to 2:30pm.


Music Improvisation

Music Improvisation

A fun, participatory gathering for anyone who loves music. Bring your own instrument or use one of our guitars, percussion instruments or piano. Or simply join in and sing.

Drop-in peer facilitated support group. We are here to listen and support each other and to share our individual experience, hope and wisdom.  Meets weekly on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 2pm - 3pm and Saturday from 12pm - 1pm.

Many of us struggle to manage judgmental “voices” and thinking patterns that we experience as intrusive and at times frightening.  In this group, we learn skills that help us.  Facilitated by Robin  RN. Meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month, from 12pm - 1pm.

Dual Diagnosis Support Group

Recovery from mental health and substance disorders can feel particularly challenging and isolating.  This process group provides a safe space to share frustrations and celebrate achievements together. Facilitated by Alex Markel, LCSW Meets Tuesday from 2pm - 3pm.

NAMI Family Support Group

NAMI Family Support Group

Mental Health is a family concern.  This group focuses on the needs of family members who often feel isolated and alone in their roles as advocates and caregivers for loved ones family struggling with serious mental health challenges.  This group provides a sense of community where we celebrate and uplift each other through empathy and mutual support. Meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, from 7:30pm - 9:30pm.

PEER COMPANIONS

PEER COMPANIONS

Led by Ona Weizman, Peer Companions trains and supports peers to spend quality time engaging with socially isolated peers in a variety of activities (such as meeting for coffee, going on a walk, or other community activities).  Meets Wednesday from 11am - 12:30pm.

Women’s Support Group

Women’s Support Group

Women with mental health disorders face unique challenges including stigma, abuse and PTSD. This peer-facilitated group provides a safe supportive sanctuary where women share frustrations, experiences, and mindful support, while cultivating community and an experience of shared empowerment.  Meets Thursday from 10am - 11am.

Drama Therapy Group

A weekly peer facilitated support group where people participate in creative activities such as: role playing utilizing props, creative word games, charades, and madlibs. Meets Thursday from 11am - 12pm.

Buckelew Employment Services

Buckelew Employment Services

Free Employment support provided by Buckelew specialists, leading to hands-on training, skill development and ongoing employment support. Meets Thursday from 11am - 12pm.

Life Skills Support Group

Life Skills Support Group

A Support Group for those who are re-entering the community after a period of hospitalization, incarceration, or homelessness.  In this group we learn skills to help us navigate the world, including communication skills and managing uncomfortable feelings. Meets Thursday 3pm - 4pm.

Facilitated Nurturing well-being through self-expression. This group provides a meditative, mindful atmosphere for maximum permission to write your truth through poetry, prose, fact or fiction.   Meets Friday from 2:30pm - 5pm.

Drop-In Art Studio

Drop in studio time to build friendships and community while working on your own creative project (including drawing, painting, collage, clay beadwork and textiles).    Meets Saturday from 1pm - 4pm.
